Parking Authority Celebrates 15 Year Anniversary

Before the Parking Authority was established, Baltimore City-owned garages had the reputation of being the worst in the City. They were dark, dirty, unsafe and, as a result, under-utilized.  Parking meter technology and policies were unchanged for decades. In 2000, the Mayor & Baltimore City Council passed Ordinance 2000-71 creating the Parking Authority. In 2001, the Parking Authority began operations, making 2016 our 15 year anniversary.
