The Baltimore City Department of Transportation will resume parking enforcement of Residential Permit Parking on Tuesday, September 1, 2020. Parking enforcement of parking meters resumed on July 13, 2020, prompting many drivers to park in nearby residential areas. This has created problems for residents trying to find available parking close to their home. If you do not have a permit on your vehicle, you will be subject to receiving a citation (ticket).
If you have an owner's or visitor's permit with an expiration date of 3/1/2020 or later, you do not have to do anything. If properly displayed, these will be honored until further notice, even if expired.
Many Bolton Hill residents purchased Area 3 parking permits online prior to the City's shutdown due to the COVID-19 pandemic and were not able to pick up their permits.
If you have an owner's or visitor's permit with an expiration date of 3/31/2020, you do not have to do anything. If properly displayed, these will be honored until further notice, even if expired.
If you purchased an Area 3 permit online, you have two options.
Option 1: Pick Up in Your Community
Two community pickups have been organized by your community representative at Sumpter Park (240 Laurens Street).
You must bring the required documentation to get your permits.
Please wear a mask and practice social distancing when attending the pick-up.
Option 2: Let PABC mail your permits
The Parking Authority will mail any permits not picked up at the community pickup to your home.
Residents who live at an eligible RPP address can apply online starting August 10, 2020, for a new permit at pabc.thepermitstore.com if they meet one of the following criteria:
Residents who qualify can apply online at pabc.thepermitstore.com beginning August 10, 2020, to have a permit mailed to them. The online application will allow residents to upload the required documents that are usually verified in person at the Parking Authority Office or at a Community Pickup. A Parking Authority team member will verify the documents online and mail residents their permits.
Beginning Monday, August 10, 2020, the Parking Authority Office, located at 200 W Lombard Street, Baltimore, MD 21201, will be open Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm.
